FirstFloor and Torn Editions are the product of shared vision and collaborative spirit, offering a haven for artistic exploration and a home for a vibrant community dedicated to the enduring art of print.

Saturday & Sunday
10am – 6pm

Studio time is booked by the session. Sessions are four hours long, and run as follows:

Monday – Friday
9am – 1pm, 1pm – 5pm, 5pm – 9pm
Saturday & Sunday
10am – 2pm, 2pm – 6pm

Studio bookings are available to members only. Becoming a member at Firstfloor entitles you to three free sessions per month; beyond that, studio time is charged at £50 per session.

FirstFloor
An open-access studio space, welcomes print enthusiasts of all levels, offering use of all facilities, and workshops and short courses in silkscreen printing and intaglio.

There will be a small, dedicated membership, fostering a close-knit community where the passion for print thrives. Every member will be able to request expert guidance, assistance and technical support, empowering them to explore their creative potential in print.
Torn Editions
Led by Greta Haga, operates as a professional proofing and editioning department within Firstfloor. Driven by a vision of collaborative artistry and project-based residencies, Torn Editions offers a unique platform for artists.

Combining traditional and experimental techniques, it pushes the boundaries of contemporary printmaking, opening new avenues of artistic exploration. The dedication to museum-quality archival inks and exceptional silkscreen and intaglio printing ensures the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
The Team
Greta Haga
A Lithuanian artist based in London whose work combines photography, graphic design, mixed media, painting and printmaking. She has worked for renowned printing studios such as Coriander, The Curwen and Counter Editions at Carl Freedman Gallery. She has collaborated with many important artists, including Sir Peter Blake, Bruce Mclean, Damien Hirst, Rose Wylie, Harland Miller, Tacita Dean and many more.
Matt Dennis
Originally trained as a painter at Middlesex Polytechnic, and then as a Graphic Designer at the University of Brighton. Since 1996 he has worked as a commercial artist, with clients ranging from the Sunday Times and Guardian to New Scientist, HarperCollins Publishing and the Royal Mail. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design and Programme Leader for MA Printmaking at Middlesex University.
